Slopes

    Slopes is chatting place that uses the Telnet client. Eventhough it is not popular compared to mIRC or Icq but it has its own unique features. Unlike the ordinary chat, slopes  live in Unix environment where you have to Telnet to join it. There a number of Telnet client besides the Windows based Telnet. Try to get Crt (go to Tucows)for a better usage. Here are some steps you need to do before getting into slopes world.

Windows Telnet Client

1st step: At the start menu, click the Run command

2nd step: key in telnet

3rd step: Go to terminal and click preferences. Check the local echo and blinking cursors. Change the font and backgound                  according to your need.

4th step: Go to Connect and click remote system. In the host name enter slopes.ulster.net. Then in the port column replace                  telnet with 3000. You dont have to change anything in the last column.

5th step: Click connect. Voila!!! You are now ready to meet somebody in slopes
